The second of my ‘books to read before they become movies in 2018’ now has a trailer! And it looks really awesome. Somehow they have nailed the visuals for me. They are sufficiently surreal, with just the right amount of familiarity to put it on that border of unnerving and creepy.
It seems like, from this trailer, that they will be exploring some of the events that happen in the second and third book of the Southern Reach trilogy as well, Authority, and Acceptance. To be a complete nerd, and get a 100% on your ‘read it before the movie’ street cred, (not to mention not having the movie spoil the other books) I recommend trying to get all 3 of the books under your belt before seeing this movie.
Anyway, super stoked!
