The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect by Roger Williams is a sci-fi novel set in a post singularity world, and explores what it means to be human in such a world. Its hard to explain too much without giving away some very interesting developments to one’s understanding of the book’s world as the story unfolds. It is rather short, only about 170 or so pages, but dense with thought provoking material. I highly recommend this book if you like media such as Black Mirror, or other sci-fi dystopian stories. As a warning though, there are some intensely disturbing scenes, especially in the beginning. Read at your own discretion.
