About Me

I am Kersti S. Kodas and I do a lot of things which include writing a blog and making art.I work as an Art Director and Producer at Serenity Forge, where I make and produce art for video games. I have been with SF since 2014, and have since worked on, directed and produced a variety of projects. I am a proud graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Visual Effects and a BFA in Game Design. I am primarily a 3D and technical artist, but I have a versatile skill set that allows me to contribute to projects in a wide range of roles.

I like to think of myself as a technical person, but I am still very much an artist at heart. I  love working in the game industry because it gives me the opportunity to interact with what I create and tell a story not just through narrative but through interaction. I want to be part of projects that awe and inspire others. I want to bring emotion and depth not just into the art, but into the core functionality of a project, making the way something works enhance and compliment the way it looks. I enjoy problem solving, and use it as my method of artistic expression.

You can find me randomly around the internet, I tend to go by Pirateferret, or PF. I like sharks, pirates, ferrets, bandannas, and cheese. In my free time I like to write, draw, read, play games, and go hiking.
My favorite video games are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Journey, Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Myst, Minecraft, and FTL.
